Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how K21 EdTech ("K21 EdTech", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit k21edtech.com, enquire about or enrol in our training programs, or communicate with us by email, phone or text message.
We serve learners in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, India, Canada, Australia and other countries. Where local law gives you additional rights, those rights are described in the country-specific sections below.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form, request a call back, enrol, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, mobile number, country, the program you are interested in, your message, and payment details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).
SMS consent records. If you opt in to text messages, we record the fact that you consented, the wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the page on which you consented. We keep this as evidence of consent.
Information collected automatically. When you use our website we collect device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL and approximate location, through cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section for details.
Learning data. If you enrol, we collect your progress, lab activity, attendance, assessment results and support requests so we can deliver the program.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from advertising platforms, analytics providers and business partners (for example, if you registered for a webinar we co-hosted).
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and connect you with an advisor.
- To deliver training programs, labs, certification prep and career support.
- To send service messages about your account, classes and schedule changes.
- To send marketing communications about programs, events and offers, where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits. You can opt out at any time.
- To send text messages where you have expressly opted in (see the SMS Terms & Conditions).
- To process payments, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
- To analyse and improve our website, content and programs.
Legal bases (UK, EEA). We rely on: performance of a contract (delivering programs you enrol in); consent (marketing emails, SMS, non-essential cookies); legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, securing our services, improving our offerings); and legal obligation (tax, accounting and regulatory requirements).
Text messaging (SMS) and your mobile number
We only send text messages to people who have expressly opted in, for example by ticking the SMS consent box on a form on our website or by replying to a message with a keyword such as YES.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any program or service.
- Message frequency varies depending on your enquiry and enrolment status.
- Message and data rates may apply according to your carrier's plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.
We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your mobile number and consent information are shared only with the service providers that help us send messages (for example our messaging platform and CRM), and only for that purpose. This applies to all mobile information collected through our website and forms.

International transfers
K21 EdTech operates internationally and your information may be processed in the United States, India and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where we transfer data from the UK or EEA, we use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses. By using our services you understand that your information may be transferred to countries with different data protection laws.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. As a guide: enquiry records for up to 24 months after last contact; enrolment and learning records for the duration of your program plus the period required for certificates, disputes and legal obligations; SMS consent records for as long as we send you messages and for a further period as required to demonstrate compliance; financial records for the period required by tax law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; restrict or object to certain processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time; and complain to a supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California (CCPA/CPRA) and other state privacy laws. In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in "Information we collect" (identifiers, contact details, commercial information, internet activity, and inferences) for the purposes listed in "How we use your information". We do not sell personal information. We may "share" identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners through cookies; you can opt out via the cookie settings or by contacting us. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws may exercise the rights listed above, including the right to appeal a decision.

Children. Our services are for adults and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 (or 13 in the US). If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
Additional information for the United Kingdom and EEA
K21 EdTech is the data controller for information collected through this website. You have the rights set out under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (UK) or your local data protection authority. Marketing texts and emails are sent only with your consent under PECR / the ePrivacy Directive.
Additional information for India
We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, to nominate a person to exercise your rights, and to raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer at the contact details below. Commercial text messages are sent in accordance with TRAI regulations and only to numbers that have opted in.
Additional information for Canada
We comply with PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws. Commercial electronic messages, including text messages, are sent only with your express consent in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Commercial messages are sent in line with the Spam Act 2003, with your consent and with a functional unsubscribe facility. You may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls and staff training. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where the changes are significant, notify you by email or a notice on the site.
